Proper Poker Etiquette No matter whether you’re playing poker in an actual casino on a real table, or you’re playing at an online casino at a virtual table, you need to be up to date with proper poker etiquette. Poker etiquette is actually a combination of good manners and common sense. People need to keep in mind that while it can be fun and entertaining to talk with the other people at the table, you still need to pay close attention to what you’re doing so you don’t end up losing money in the end. Some common things to follow with poker etiquette and things to keep in mind would be that all chat at most online tables is done in English. Also you never want to criticize your opponents way of playing as this can come across as abusive behaviour and can get you kicked off the table. You want to play fair and treat the other players in the game with respect and allow them the privacy that they deserve. Under no circumstances whatsoever are you to harass or intimidate any of the other players at the table. That can be grounds for immediate dismissal and being barred from the website permanently. You also are not allowed to tell what cards you have during play or even after you have folded your hand. You need to keep the cards you had personal to you until after the whole game is ended. You’ll be looked upon as a better player when using proper poker etiquette. |
