No matter whether you’re playing a game of poker at a casino in person or at an online casino with thousands of other people it is a very important that you know the ranking of the hands and poker.  If you do not understand the ranking of the hands then you will never understand the game of poker.  You need to know what is a good hand and what’s a bad hand.  The basic types of games deal out either five or seven cards.  The object of the game is to have the best hand at the end so you’re the winner. The best and you can get would be a royal flush.  It’s the top of the rankings when it comes to poker and it is made up of the five highest cards in any one of the four suits.

A straight flush would be the second best and you can get in poker.  This is also made up of five cards of the same suit in numerical order.  Such as 3,4,5,6 and 7 of clubs.  Four of a kind is the next best thing that you kind get under a straight flush.  Obviously the higher the card, the better your hand.  Just under the four of a kind would be a full house.  That consists of having three of a kind and two of a kind.  Next you have a flush.  While it’s similar to the Royal flush, the numbers do not have to be in the same order, they just have to be of the same suit.  Then following down the line there would be three of a kind, two pair,  one pair and last but not least high card.
