Players who generally play online can develop a certain table image based on their style of play, online name and use of the chatbox.

That changes once those players go to a live game.

But at a live table, you can also see how people are reacting to you and work accordingly. If players are at ease with your comments and laughing, you know you have a calm image. If they appear to go up against you, now you have a very strong image.

You can intimidate players at the table with your skills, but also your appearance. Choose what you want to wear at the table wisely. People will tend to make snap judgments, and changing their mind can take time, so make sure you make a strong first impression.

There are times you will want to appear incompetent in hopes of luring other players, and will want the table image of a moron. This can work short term, but keep in mind the more you pay with people, the better chance they figure that out.
