Playing poker can be very tricky.  You have to pay attention to many different types of combinations that you can have in your hand while at the same time knowing what you bet.  Below is a brief list of the different types of straight draws that you can get.

Ÿ  Outside straight draw- this is also called an up-and-down or an open ended straight draw.  This is where you have a hand of four or five of the needed cards in sequence and you only need one card on either end to make a straight. For example you may have cards 5 - 6 - 7 - 8.  This means you need either a four or a nine to make your straight.

Ÿ  Inside straight draw-this can also be called a gunshot draw or great belly buster draw.  This is where you to have a hand of four of the five cards needed to make a straight but you're missing one in the middle.  This is where you might have the cards such as a-2-3-4-5.  Your only option would be to get a six in order to make a straight.

Ÿ  Double inside straight draw-this is also called -- a draw or the double belly buster draw.  This happens in the seven card games.  This region have it either to the ranks can make a straight.  The problem is both are inside draws
